At Groomed by Krista, your dog’s comfort, health, and safety are everything. When you trust someone with your dog, you’re trusting them with a member of your family, and that’s a responsibility I take to heart.
That’s why I am certified in Pet First Aid and CPR through the American Red Cross — and I pursue recertification every single year to keep the information fresh in my mind and stay current with the latest best practices. Your dog deserves someone who cares deeply about their safety and is fully prepared to act if the unexpected happens.
While true emergencies are thankfully rare — especially in a calm, one-on-one studio like mine — grooming still involves handling live animals with very individual needs. If something doesn’t feel right, I’m trained to recognize the early signs of distress. And if a true emergency were ever to occur, I’m ready to respond quickly, calmly, and competently, whether that means administering first aid or performing CPR while waiting for veterinary help.
Of course, the best emergency is the one that never happens. That’s why every part of the Groomed by Krista experience — from the one-on-one appointments to low-stress handling techniques — is designed to keep your dog relaxed, secure, and emotionally comfortable throughout their visit. A calm dog is not just a happier dog — they’re a safer one, too.
When you choose Groomed by Krista, you’re not just getting a beautifully groomed dog (though you’ll get that, too). You’re choosing personalized, attentive care from someone who’s as prepared for the “what ifs” as she is passionate about every “I love how they look!” moment.
Because here, your dog is your baby—and I take that seriously.
